Swim School FAQ’s

Here’s some frequently asked questions about purchases, enrollments and billings. Can’t find an answer? Splash us an email or give us a call.

How many students are in each class?

Our group classes are uniquely small, with only 3 children per instructor for the best individual attention. We also offer semi-private lessons (2:1) and private lessons (1:1) for an even more personalized experience.

For specialty programs, our Little Dolphin classes are capped at 6 students, and our Adult classes are limited to 4 swimmers, ensuring every participant gets the focus and support they need to succeed.

Can I start swim lessons in the middle of the month, and how will billing work?

You can start at any time! If you join mid-month, we’ll adjust your fees so you’re only paying for the classes left in the month. You might hear us say ‘prorated’ — that simply means your billing is tailored to match the number of classes in that month.

How long is each class?

Each class is held for 30 minutes. Recurring day and time is purchased at time of enrollment. Each enrollment is for one month, we bill on a perpetual billing model – month to month. Families can unenroll for the next month via our Family Portal up to 5 days before the billing date.

How long will it take for my child to learn how to swim?

Every child learns at their own pace, swimming is much like learning an instrument, the more practice you commit the quicker you retain information.

Are there lessons scheduled all year? Even when it rains?

Yes. We offer Indoor Warm Water Swim Lessons all year round. Classes are still held during rainy weather. Please follow our social media and check your emails frequently during inclement weather for any updates from the School Team.

Do lessons run year-round or by session? When do you charge for enrollment?

Our swim lessons run year-round, so your child can keep building skills without interruption. We bill on a recurring basis every 23rd of the month for the upcoming month of lessons.

If your family wishes to take a break, you can easily place your account on hold by submitting a Withdrawal Request Form by the 20th of the month (3 days before billing occurs).

What is your Swim School’s refund policy?

Tuition and fees are non-refundable once charged, except as noted below. This includes, but is not limited to, tuition, registration, anniversary, and evaluation fees.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing within seven (7) days of the original charge date. Approved refunds are eligible for up to 70% of the tuition paid. The remaining 30% is non-refundable and covers administrative, insurance, and booking costs.

Refunds will not be issued for missed lessons, schedule conflicts, voluntary withdrawals, or unused classes. Credit or makeup lessons may be offered only if the school cancels a class or if a doctor’s note is provided, and will be scheduled based on availability.

Please note: Once a student is enrolled and tuition is processed, families are responsible for payment whether or not their student attends class until written notice of withdrawal is submitted through our Withdrawal Request Form. This policy helps us maintain instructor scheduling, uphold safety ratios, and remain compliant with banking standards to protect against chargebacks.

Is there an Annual Registration Fee?

Yes. We charge a one-time annual registration fee of $30 for the first swimmer, $15 for the second, and $5 for the third. Registration fees are capped at $50 per family account, so you’ll never pay more in a year.

What are your operating hours?

Our Office Hours are from 10am to 7pm, Monday-Friday. Weekend hours are from 9am to 2pm. Each Swim School location hours vary, so please call or check our website for specific information on those day/times.

Are your instructors certified?

Yes. All of our team members are certified in CPR, First Aid, and Basic Life Support (BLS). Our lifeguards hold American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. Each Swim Instructor completes Instructor and Teaching Development training through our proprietary curriculum before leading classes. This ensures your child is learning in a safe, supportive, and professional environment each class.

Do you have adaptive programs for children with special needs?

Yes! We welcome swimmers of all abilities. Children with diverse needs are encouraged to enroll in private lessons, where our instructors can provide personalized support and adapt our curriculum to help every child feel safe, confident, and successful in the water.

How do you decide when my child moves up to the next level?

We track your child’s progress closely and provide monthly report cards during the last class of each month. You can access these report cards digitally or pick up a printed copy from our Brand Ambassador at the pool during your child’s lesson. Once your swimmer has mastered the required skills for their level, our instructors will recommend moving them up to the next class.

What is your make-up policy if my child misses a class?

We understand that things come up! Families may schedule one make-up lesson per month for each enrolled swimmer. Make-ups are offered on a space-available basis and must be scheduled through the Family Portal (or by contacting our team directly).
